About Us

Western Province Preparatory School, situated in Claremont, Cape Town, is an independent Anglican Church school with a rich history and tradition, educating a diverse number of boys in Grades N (R) to 7 for over 100 years.

Message from the Head

Kandas Botha is currently the Acting Head of School at WPPS. In January 2023, Wayne Naidoo will join WPPS as Head of School.

Admissions

Our main intake is in Grade N (Grade R). Following an inclusive admissions policy, we fill 48 spaces in Grade N and some in Grade 6 and 7 annually.

School History

Western Province Prep School opened its door to 26 pupils on 3rd February 1914. Read more about the history of the school here.

School Fees

An acceptance fee is required from all school entrants. View our school fees schedule here. Electives charged to school fee accounts include aftercare, art club, lunch (excluding boarders), music and pupil support.
